Cosmetic bags
Prepare a cosmetic bag manufacturing brief
Start with a defined buying question
A bag brief should explain construction, not just appearance. Provide finished dimensions, material, lining, zipper, internal pockets and logo placement. Include the intended contents so that the sample can be tested with a realistic load. A photograph of a styled bag may hide seams and internal details that are essential to the final specification.
Ask the manufacturer which measurements are taken flat and which are taken on the finished bag. Agree tolerances for the important dimensions. Inspect stitching, zipper travel, seam finishing and reinforcement around stress points. If your project needs cleaning resistance or another performance property, define the evaluation method rather than relying on an unqualified description such as waterproof.
Packaging and transport can influence the delivered appearance. Decide whether bags may be folded, whether protective inserts are needed and how units are packed into cartons. Request a sample packed in the proposed shipping configuration. Compare the total quotation with the same material and packing details, since a low unit price can reflect a thinner lining, a different zipper or omitted packaging.
Inquiry checklist
- Specify outside material and inside lining separately.
- Provide finished dimensions and pocket layout.
- Test with the intended contents.
- Inspect stitching, zipper and stressed seams.
- Approve folding and carton packing before shipment.
A decision record you can reuse
Create a one-page record with the selected configuration, open questions, evidence received and next action. Ask the supplier to correct misunderstandings before you approve a sample or purchase order. Keep photographs, quotations and written confirmations with that record so that another person can understand why you made the choice. If an important detail is unresolved, request clarification instead of quietly turning it into an assumption.
Use this guide as a purchasing framework, not as a claim that a listed manufacturer has passed these checks. Custom-OEM profiles organize public supplier information; buyers should confirm current specifications and commercial terms directly with the manufacturer. A clear brief and documented sample comparison make the next conversation more useful than an unspecific request for the best price.
