How to compare powder puff MOQs

Start with a defined buying question

A minimum order quantity is meaningful only when the configuration is defined. An offer for an unbranded stock puff cannot be compared directly with a custom colour, printed ribbon and retail box. Begin by describing shape, finished dimensions, material, ribbon construction and packaging. Ask the supplier to separate the minimum for the puff itself from the minimum for each added component.

A low opening quantity can be useful for testing demand, but compare the complete order cost. Samples, printing setup, individual bags, cartons and transport can change the outcome. Ask for quotations at three realistic quantities using exactly the same specification. A lower unit price is not automatically the better choice if it leaves you with more slow-moving stock than your launch can absorb.

Check whether the minimum applies per design, colour or total order. Combining several colours may be possible with a stock material, while a specially dyed fabric may require a separate run. Confirm this in writing rather than assuming that the advertised MOQ covers every variation. Also ask which options can be reordered without repeating setup costs.

Inquiry checklist

A decision record you can reuse

Create a one-page record with the selected configuration, open questions, evidence received and next action. Ask the supplier to correct misunderstandings before you approve a sample or purchase order. Keep photographs, quotations and written confirmations with that record so that another person can understand why you made the choice. If an important detail is unresolved, request clarification instead of quietly turning it into an assumption.

Use this guide as a purchasing framework, not as a claim that a listed manufacturer has passed these checks. Custom-OEM profiles organize public supplier information; buyers should confirm current specifications and commercial terms directly with the manufacturer. A clear brief and documented sample comparison make the next conversation more useful than an unspecific request for the best price.
